Scotland Scene

Vacationing in Scotland we spent several days on the Isle of Skye where I found this scene in the bay at Portree. We were lucky to be there during a Pipe Festival, it doesn't get any more Scottish than that! This photograph pretty much defines my style: minimalism and simplicity.

LLELA's Earth Day Celebration

We were honored to hear the music of Erica Wheeler (www.ericawheeler.com), conservation advocate and musician. It was a beautiful day in North Texas and many people enjoyed being outside and participating in bird walks, butterfly walks, guided hikes, conservation and educational opportunities and many more activities celebrating nature and the value of preservation of resources. LLELA offers all that in one place!

Earth Day Celebration at LLELA

Celebrating Earth Day at LLELA this weekend, my assignment is event photographer. No problem - only 2000 acres and dozens of activities to cover!

Wedding Photography

While I know that many photographers don't share my enthusiasm, wedding photography is something I actually enjoy. It's a challenge to provide the bride, groom and families with a mix of traditional and contemporary photojournalistic styles to meet everyone's expectations. Trying to cover every aspect of the event while staying out of the way and being unnoticed for the most part, is the goal.

Workshop Details

Photo Workshop

I'll be leading a Basic Digitial Photography workshop on May 1st in Denton at the Oxide Gallery. If you've ever wanted to understand more about f-stops and shutter speeds and how they work together so you have control of your camera, not letting it have control over you, then this workshop will help. Here's the link for all the information: http://oxidegallery.com/workshops/050110.html.

Day Late at TMS

Well the racing finally happened ... on Monday. After two days of inactivity on the track and sitting in the Media Center watching the rain fall - finally the engines came to life and competition was on! Enjoyed a lot of the race in Turn One, then spent about an hour on pit road watching the amazingly talented crews hard at work. Then the "big one" happened and #14 was out of the race along with several others. Congratulations to Denny Hamlin on the victory.
